Type Spec Booklet (Print)

Project Concept

The idea to create a six page storybook with the process attached was from a final for my Typography class. The project was to advertise a font of our choosing for a 8 page booklet spread. I thought it would be funny if I made a six page story book, with a square format. Then it got approved, so here we are.

Drop Caps

Wishing to add more graphic design into the project, I decided to create a Drop Cap per page. Each Capital letter has their own unique design as each flower's first letter matches their respective letter. I sketched my ideas on my sketch book, transferred that onto Procreate to better define the elements I wanted, Used Adobe Illustrator to take each individual letter and cut them as needed, then to Photoshop to draw onto and finally export to InDesign to put all the pieces together.
