I’m Bonnie Chen, an illustrator with lots of love for visual arts. Growing up in New York City, life was always busy and crowded. The only places where the world stood still was encapsulated in artworks, where stories, expressions, and emotions thrive. I studied in the Borough of Manhattan Community College for animation, however my work in the public library transitioned me into the world of illustration. The stories that I carried with me since childhood were always near and dear, especially old fairytales and fables from around the world. I wish to do the same for the next generations. Whole worlds, crafty stories, and endearing characters captured on pages for anyone and everyone. 

When I’m not drawing I’m trying really hard not to poke myself while embroidering or making too big of a batch of soup to feed my friends. I recently learned avocado pits are easy to carve and as a person who wants to try wood whittling one day, it's good practice.
